American Heart Association First Aid Only – Blended Learning Course

Partially Online with Required In-Person Skills Session

Please note: This is a First Aid Only certification course. It does not include CPR or AED training.

This course follows the American Heart Association's (AHA) blended learning format, designed to reduce in-class time while maintaining essential hands-on skills practice. While the majority of the coursework is completed at your own pace online, an in-person skills session is still required to earn your official AHA First Aid certification.

There is no such thing as a completely online AHA First Aid course that provides an authentic certification without hands-on practice. To meet AHA standards, all participants must interact with other students, practice skills with a manikin, and demonstrate competency during the in-person session.

Simple Steps to Certification:

1. Register for FAST CPR's AHA First Aid Only Blended Learning Course using the schedule below. The course fee covers both the online component and the in-person skills session.

2. Complete the Online Course at your convenience, from the comfort of your home.

3. After passing the online course, upload your AHA eLearning Completion Certificate to our website at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled skills session.

4. Attend the In-Person Skills Session on time. Practice and successfully demonstrate your First Aid skills.

5. Upon completion, you will receive your official American Heart Association First Aid Only certification card, valid for two years. Cards are issued the same day as your skills session.

Important Reminders:

• FAST CPR has been offering AHA blended learning courses longer than anyone else in the state, with thousands of satisfied participants. Based on our experience:

  • We recommend registering at least three days in advance to allow sufficient time to complete the online portion.

  • Avoid waiting until the last minute to begin the online course. Start immediately after registration and ensure all sections, including the end-of-course survey, are completed.

• Uploading your completion certificate is mandatory. Certificates must be submitted to our website at least 48 hours before your scheduled class.

• Participants who arrive without a valid online completion certificate, or who claim to be unaware of the online portion, will not be allowed to attend. Familiarity with basic computer use is required.

• Please note, FAST CPR does not offer refunds after registration is complete. This course cannot be exchanged for other training programs. Please ensure you are registering for the correct course: First Aid Only, partially online format.
